TIP OF THE MONTH January - February 2008 Many people find excuses to continue their angry behavior. Some say they have had that angry behavior style for a long time and they just can’t change. Others observe that the circumstances of their lives are causing the angry behavior, and they foresee no change in those conditions. Therefore their angry behavior will remain constant. In most cases, those excuses are just excuses and not valid reasons for not seeking help with a behavioral problem. Anger management is not about the length of time a person has been angry, or about the situations or circumstances surrounding the anger. Good anger management concentrates on the individual’s anger emotion starting now and under all circumstances. Isn’t it amazing that very few people will ignore a serious physical condition , yet they will keep making excuses for their angry behavior. Don’t make excuses – seek help now! |
